Nursery group website design

Thirty-one per cent of group-based providers are part of a chain, rising to 43% of private ones (DfE Provider Survey 2025). A group website has to do what a single-site one does, once per setting, and route the enquiry to the right manager. That is the Group package.

How does a nursery group website differ from a single site?

A nursery group website carries a full section for each setting under one brand: its own rooms, fees, report card, team and district pages, its own Google Business Profile, and structured data that lets each setting appear separately in map and AI results. One enquiry form routes by setting to the right manager. From £5,995 for two settings, live in four to six weeks.

What this build gets right

A section per setting

Each nursery gets its own home, rooms, fees, report card, team and district pages under the group brand, with its own Google Business Profile linked. Parents search for the setting, not the group.

Central enquiry routing

One form, routed by setting to the right manager's Famly or Ovivio account, with a group-level copy for head office. Every enquiry records which setting and which page.

The careers hub

Groups recruit constantly. A careers section with live vacancies per setting, job-posting markup that Google reads, and a plain application form. Seven in ten settings are short-staffed (NDNA, June 2025); the group that answers a candidate first wins.

Group-level structured data

Organisation, sub-organisations and a LocalBusiness record per setting, with country-only addresses at group level and full addresses per setting, so each one appears correctly in map and AI results.

How a build runs, start to finish

Four steps. You see a fixed price and a page plan before anything is designed.

1. Tell us about your nursery

Four details in the form. Then a short brief: rooms, ages, fees, funded hours, any software you use, the towns you draw from.

2. You get your quote

A fixed price, a page plan and a live date, within one working day. No call, unless you want one.

3. Design and build

You see a design first. Two rounds of revisions. Then we build every page and connect your enquiry form to your software.

4. Live in 2 to 6 weeks

We handle domain and hosting. You get a written handover and a care plan from £50 a month.

Bring us a look you like, or nothing at all

A competitor's site you admire, a colour, a mood board, a photo of your baby room. We design around it. These six show the range, not the menu. Pick one as a starting point, bring a site you love, or describe something nobody has built yet. You are never limited to these six: we design whatever your nursery needs.

What nursery owners say

Firefly Nursery

The team designed and developed our new website and continue to work with us on an ongoing basis through their SEO and AI Visibility package. They’re helping us strengthen our presence on Google and across emerging AI search platforms, so more local parents can discover our nursery online. It’s great having one team looking after both our website and our long-term digital visibility.
Julia, Firefly Nursery, Catford

Oak Tree Nursery

We wanted a website that really captured the warmth and personality of our nursery and gave parents confidence in choosing us. The finished website does exactly that. It showcases our setting beautifully, explains what we offer clearly and makes it incredibly easy for prospective parents to arrange a visit or get in touch.
Jane, Oak Tree Nursery, Catford

Questions nursery owners ask

How is a group website priced?

From £5,995 for two settings with a full section each, quoted per additional setting in writing before you commit. The care plan is £50 a month for the group site. The Area retainer at £1,997 a month covers 50 keywords across the settings.

Can each manager edit their own section?

Yes. Each setting's pages sit in their own folder with written instructions, and access can be limited to that folder. Fees and hours changes are the usual edits.

We have settings in both London and Essex. Does that matter?

Only for the district pages, which are written per setting. A setting in Loughton and one in Hackney get pages for their own neighbourhoods and their own parent search figures, under one group brand.

How much does a nursery website cost?

A nursery website in the UK costs between about £1,000 and £6,000 as a one-off build, plus £20 to £60 a month to keep it running. Ours are £1,495 for a single setting of up to eight pages, £2,995 for an established nursery and £5,995 for a group of two or more, with a £50 a month care plan on top. Monthly-only offers from £15 to £40 exist, but you usually rent the site rather than own it.

How long does it take to build a nursery website?

Two to five weeks for a single setting, three to five for an established nursery, four to six for a group. The clock starts when your brief is complete. The slow part is almost always waiting for fees, room details and staff names, so the faster you send those the sooner it is live.

Will our website meet Ofsted and EYFS requirements?

Ofsted does not inspect or approve websites, so no website is "Ofsted compliant" and you should be careful of anyone selling that phrase. What a website can do is show your inspection outcome accurately. Since November 2025 inspections produce a colour-coded report card across evaluation areas instead of one overall word, so we build the section to display the areas and link to your published report.

Do we own the website at the end?

Yes. On completion and full payment the files are yours, as plain HTML with no proprietary platform to be locked into. Domains we register go in your name where the registrar allows it, and transfer to you free of charge whenever you ask, including if you stop the care plan.

Do we have to write the content?

No. We draft every page from your brief and you edit it in writing. Fees pages use your numbers. We will not write a claim, an award or a review you cannot substantiate, and we will say so rather than quietly writing it anyway.
