Nursery website design in North London
Website design, local search and AI visibility for day nurseries in Camden, Islington, Haringey, Barnet and Enfield.
We do, from a base covering the 5 areas of North London listed below, between them holding 2,080 nurseries and pre-schools within 6 km of their centres. The busiest single phrase across the region is "nursery enfield" at 480 searches a month. Every setting gets its own pages for its own neighbourhoods, at a fixed £1,495 to £5,995, live in two to six weeks.
Nursery counts: claimed Google Maps listings within 6 km of each centre, summed, via DataforSEO, September 2026. Circles overlap in inner London. Search figures: Google Ads data via DataforSEO, United Kingdom, September 2026.
Across North London we count 2,080 nurseries within 6 km of the centres we cover, circles overlap in inner London. The weight sits in Camden and Islington, which between them hold more than half of that figure. Barnet and Enfield are far more open, and a setting there has a realistic chance of being the name parents remember for the whole neighbourhood.
The North London market
Camden leads on density with 624 settings, Islington has 557 and Haringey 464, before the numbers drop to 264 in Barnet and 171 in Enfield. Search demand runs almost exactly the other way. Google Ads data via DataforSEO, September 2026, shows Enfield with the strongest parent search in the region at 480 a month, ahead of Islington on 260 and Barnet on 210, while Camden manages 170. Haringey returns no measurable figure for the borough name at all, because parents there search for Crouch End, Muswell Hill or Tottenham rather than the council area. Click costs are steady in the middle of the range, from £3.95 in Islington to £6.05 in Enfield. An Enfield owner is therefore fishing in a bigger pond with fewer boats, and the website should be built to take advantage of that.
What is different about North London
Inner North London is the territory of the terraced-house nursery, the converted chapel and the estate community pre-school, often within sight of each other. Parents here have been paying some of the steepest fees in the capital, and since September 2025 the 30-hour offer from nine months has changed how many of those hours are billed at the private rate. The DfE's April 2026 rules on published charges and voluntary extras have arrived at a point when owners were already rewriting their fee sheets. In Barnet and Enfield the mix shifts towards larger sites with gardens and car parks, and the questions parents ask online are more about wraparound hours and the school run.

What nursery owners say
Firefly Nursery
The team designed and developed our new website and continue to work with us on an ongoing basis through their SEO and AI Visibility package. They’re helping us strengthen our presence on Google and across emerging AI search platforms, so more local parents can discover our nursery online. It’s great having one team looking after both our website and our long-term digital visibility.
Oak Tree Nursery
We wanted a website that really captured the warmth and personality of our nursery and gave parents confidence in choosing us. The finished website does exactly that. It showcases our setting beautifully, explains what we offer clearly and makes it incredibly easy for prospective parents to arrange a visit or get in touch.
More enquiries from local parents
Our new website has made a huge difference to our online presence. Parents can quickly understand what makes our nursery special and easily take the next step to arrange a visit. We’ve had fantastic feedback on how professional, welcoming and easy to use the website is.
Questions from North London
Ofsted has moved to report cards. How should a North London nursery show that on its website?
Link to the current report card directly and describe the setting in the same areas the card covers, rather than leaning on a single-word grade that is being phased out since November 2025. Parents in Camden or Barnet who compare several settings will read the card itself, so the site should make it easy to find and put your own account alongside it.
We have a waiting list in Islington. Is a new website still worth it?
A full room today is not a full room next September, and North London families move often. The site keeps the list topped up, handles the questions your office answers by phone, and gives you a place to explain fees under the new transparency rules. It also matters for recruitment, since staff look at the website before they apply.
Can a North London nursery website help us recruit practitioners?
Yes, a careers page with current vacancies, the qualification levels you take on and a simple application form is part of the build. Nurseries in Haringey and Enfield compete with schools and other settings for Level 3 staff, and a page that shows the rooms and the team honestly does more than a job board listing.
How much does a nursery website cost?
A nursery website in the UK costs between about £1,000 and £6,000 as a one-off build, plus £20 to £60 a month to keep it running. Ours are £1,495 for a single setting of up to eight pages, £2,995 for an established nursery and £5,995 for a group of two or more, with a £50 a month care plan on top. Monthly-only offers from £15 to £40 exist, but you usually rent the site rather than own it.
How long does it take to build a nursery website?
Two to five weeks for a single setting, three to five for an established nursery, four to six for a group. The clock starts when your brief is complete. The slow part is almost always waiting for fees, room details and staff names, so the faster you send those the sooner it is live.
How do you advertise your nursery?
Most enquiries start with a parent searching for childcare near a place they already know: a station, a school, a high street. In practical order that means a page for each district you draw from, a Google Business Profile kept current, real reviews from current parents, a fees page a parent can read at 10pm without ringing you, and listings on the directories parents actually use. Paid ads work but are rented: "nursery chelmsford" costs £4.43 a click.
Do we own the website at the end?
Yes. On completion and full payment the files are yours, as plain HTML with no proprietary platform to be locked into. Domains we register go in your name where the registrar allows it, and transfer to you free of charge whenever you ask, including if you stop the care plan.
